What is .online?
.online is one of the new generic extensions (since 2015) and clearly states that an offering takes place online.
Registry: Radix.
Who can register?
Open to everyone, without documentation. Some highly sought-after names are classified as premium by the registry.
Rules and technology
A .online name may be up to 63 characters long. As a new generic extension, .online follows ICANN rules including the 60-day transfer lock after registration. Our search detects premium names and shows the price before purchase.
Who is .online for?
For online shops, digital offerings and projects whose preferred name is taken under .at or .com.
Pricing without renewal shock
A .online domain is planned at €33.48 per year at Sigma Hosting, including 20% VAT. The renewal price is identical: no teaser offer in the first year and no surprise on the second invoice. A transfer from another provider also costs €33.48 and extends the term by one year.
Domain registration is in preparation; until the registrar is connected, the prices are planned prices. You can take your domain to another provider at any time with the auth code.
Our tip
With new extensions it pays to check the renewal price — with us it always equals the registration price.
